All ladies are welcome to join us Tuesday, May 13^th, 9:30-11:00 a.m. for a time of fun, food, and fellowship.  Our speaker will be Jane Pedersen.  Childcare will be provided.  There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in Swanson Fellowship Hall if you would like to bring something.

Are you (or someone in your family) graduating? You have worked hard and have come to a significant milepost in your life this year. Please help us put together an accurate list of graduates from high school, college, or grad school. Leave a slip of paper with the information under the office door or e-mail the church office (knowlovelive@knowlovelive.org) with the information about any graduates in this church family. Our Baccalaureate Service for high school graduates this year will be part of our Morning Worship Service on June 8th.

The Kitchen Committee has been able to purchase a refrigerator/freezer and one refrigerator from the Kitchen Capital Reserve. This fund is built from donations from funerals, receptions, the church fair, the pancake breakfast, and any other gifts to this fund. Kitchen Capital Reserve funds are used only for major purchases and voluntary gifts are always welcome.

What's to do besides working at the Pancake Breakfast here? There are lots of ways YOU could get to know people around town and help put a 'face' on our church. Friday, June 27th, and Saturday June 28th: "Logistical Engineers" are needed to help move stuff around the center, and the library needs help at the used book sale (first dibs on books!) on Sunday, June 29th. Bands can sign up to play on the stage down at Spaulding Field. Two people are needed to organize and run whatever kids' games on the grass you can come up with. Someone is needed to operate the popcorn machine and sell drinks. The hot air balloon ride needs lots of people, in shifts, to help unpack it, hold down the ropes during flights, and pack it back up again. All Sunday helpers get a free sundae - not to mention the chance to meet and perhaps witness to countless locals! As of today, we have sold only 11 tickets to the "Pops.” We still have 39 left. If we don’t have enough people going to cover the cost of the bus, we will have to cancel as we did a couple of years ago. If you have planned to go but just have not gotten around to make your reservations, please fill out the “Pops” insert and leave it the church office TODAY. All reservations and payments for tickets must be made by next Sunday, May 11th.

You are cordially invited to the adult Sunday school room on Sunday morning May 11 from 9:30-10:30 to participate in a “Blackboard Side Chat.” The spirit and tone is one of a fireside chat without the fire. The elders want to periodically host a time to talk and listen in an informal setting to things connected to our community life. The topic this time will be: “When the doors to the church are open, is a ‘good member’ always here?” Other topics and times can be suggested and efforts will be made to respond to the desires expressed. Please come and share your thoughts.
