As of today, we have sold only 11 tickets to the "Pops.” We still have 39 left. If we don’t have enough people going to cover the cost of the bus, we will have to cancel as we did a couple of years ago. If you have planned to go but just have not gotten around to make your reservations, please fill out the “Pops” insert and leave it the church office TODAY. All reservations and payments for tickets must be made by next Sunday, May 11th.

Our First Sunday Fellowship Meal today will be given to a ministry fair. We want to know and showcase the various local ministries that this church family supports and participates in.

You are cordially invited to the adult Sunday school room on Sunday morning May 11 from 9:30-10:30 to participate in a “Blackboard Side Chat.” The spirit and tone is one of a fireside chat without the fire. The elders want to periodically host a time to talk and listen in an informal setting to things connected to our community life. The topic this time will be: “When the doors to the church are open, is a ‘good member’ always here?” Other topics and times can be suggested and efforts will be made to respond to the desires expressed. Please come and share your thoughts.

Ladies, you are cordially invited to our Spring dinner which will be held on Friday, May 9th, 6:30 p.m. at Elsa's home. We will enjoy a hymn sing after the dinner. There is a sign up sheet in Swanson Fellowship Hall where you will have a choice of food to bring (salad, entrée or dessert). We ask that your food selection be from any church cookbook and bring a copy of the recipe so they can be typed up and given out at a later date. There will be car pooling from the church to Elsa’s leaving promptly at 6 p.m. Please sign the carpool sheet if you are going to carpool. This evening is always a wonderful time of fellowship and hope you will join us. Any questions, please see or call Elsa or Ginny.

Will be held on Monday, May 5 and Thursday, May 8 from 7:00–9:00 p.m. in the conference room next to Pastor Greer’s study. Please come even is you did not sign up if you are interested in hearing more about this church and exploring membership here. Attending the classes does not obligate one to take any further steps. The classes are intended to serve and assist you in determining if you want to stand and covenant together with this community of faith.
