Announcements

This coming Friday, March 12th, at 7:30 pm. We will meet in the church library to hear our own Ruth W. speak on her “Journey of a Christian Psychotherapist.” Ruth is Director of the Christian Counseling Center in Bolton, MA. All ladies are cordially invited to this evening of fellowship.
The March 21st Hymn Sing will feature songs that were favorites from the 1950’s and 1960’s evening services at this church, selected by Ginny M. Come for an evening of hymns and history, Carlisle and clefs . . . 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
Next Sunday, March 7th, is our First Sunday Meal. Come, bring some food, and sit with someone you don’t know in your church family. Satisfy your appetite for food and friendship. Beverages will be provided.
Focus on the Family presents a one-day seminar, Focus on Marriage, celebrating God’s design for commitment. This life changing simulcast (live via satellite) event will help you tackle one of Christianity’s biggest challenges - empowering you and your spouse to stay faithful, committed, and encouraged in your marriage. It will be held at Immanuel Church in Chelmsford on Saturday, February 27th. For a list of speakers and registration information, see the flyer posted on the bulletin board in the narthex.

Do you have gently-used winter clothes you care to part with? Hopefully so, as it is still very cold up North! Men, women, and children of all sizes will gratefully accept your warm clothing, hats, mittens/gloves, scarves, ski pants, jackets, boots, sweaters, tops, pants, etc. to protect them from the harsh weather they have on the hill top. Everyone has to go from building to building throughout each day and oftentimes it is below zero! Many of the clients arrive with only the clothes on their body and are thankful to have clothing from which to choose. If you will bring your items in plastic bags or in small to medium size boxes and place them near the poster in Swanson Fellowship Hall, I will gladly transport them to His Mansion. This clothing collection will last through the month of March. For more information about the ministry of His Mansion, see the posters on the bulletin boards.

is having a volunteer orientation and training meeting on Saturday, March 13th, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at My Father’s House, 83 Middlesex St., North Chelmsford. If this is an area where you might be able to serve and you would like more information, pick up a flyer on the table in the narthex.
The community potluck and sing-along is sponsored by the three churches of Carlisle – the First Religious Society, St. Irene Catholic Church, and the Carlisle Congregational Church and will be held on Saturday, March 6th, at 6:30 p.m. in Swanson Fellowship Hall. The evening will feature a bounteous potluck meal followed by one or two choral pieces sung by a joint three-church choir. Once again, Pastor Weibley will direct a sing-a-long featuring popular songs from the 1890’s to the 1940’s. Old songs (and most likely, old jokes), good food, and the warmth of getting together to sing – what’s not to enjoy? Please join us. Donations to the Friends of COA to benefit the town’s fuel assistance fund will be welcomed. To register, sign up on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall.
After submitting our first three choices for performances, the group sales office assigned us the “125th Anniversary Celebration” on Saturday, June 19th, with Keith Lockhart conducting. It will be a tribute to “America’s Orchestra” - a salute to the legacies of Arthur Fiedler, John Williams, and Keith Lockhart. The program includes Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” and the film music of John Williams.” We’re not sure just when the tickets ($19 each) will go on sale, but be sure to mark your calendars NOW.

Join us each Sunday morning in the Conference Room (near the pastor’s study) from 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. or from 10:30 - 10:55 a.m. to pray for CCC during this time of transition. Come each week or when you’re free!
