Missions News

Prepare for the ministry of your life! To be made alive by God's grace is to gradually and gratefully learn that your life is a ministry for God's glory.

Our purpose statement reflects our understanding of the Bible's teaching on the purpose of every local church in every century. Missions is our purpose statement applied and practiced. Missions are the outworking of knowing, loving, and living the Word in God's world. Missions are that for which we are to be prepared for here. It is the ministry of our life! Knowing Him and making Him known is the privilege and responsibility of all believers.

God sent His Son and His Son sends us that the world may know the words and work of the Savior. The map of the world changes; its political boundaries and names and governments all change, but the Gospel, which brings eternal life, does not change. Wherever any of us goes, all the places we all go, we go as missionaries. Our times gathered in worship and study and fellowship are preparation for the ministry of our lives scattered. We partner with some whose preparation for the ministry of their lives has taken them to other cultures, other continents.

May the information here serve us well as a reminder of the importance of our preparation here as well as the practice and application of our preparation. Those pictured here along with us are being prepared and are participating in the most important ministry in the world...that the world may know...

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'"Romans 10:14-15
