Steve and Deb Weibley Steven James Weibley has served Carlisle Congregational Church for 20 years this summer. His responsibilities here include children's ministry, service music, Christian Education, monthly preaching, and Bible teaching.

Pastor Weibley received a B.S. Ed. in Music from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Divinity (magnum cum laude) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has done advanced coursework with R.C. Sproul, Edmund Clowney, John Frame, and Tim Keller. He has fond memories of his term as a sabbatical student at Westminster College, Cambridge University, in England in 2003. He holds ordination in the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference.

Steve has composed many of the praise songs we sing each week during worship. These songs are simple of form and melody, but rich in scripture, so that the "Word of Christ" may indeed dwell in us richly through the means of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Col. 3:16. ref. Eph. 5:19). His musical credits include 6 musicals for children, 20 choral anthems, 15 hymn tunes, 3 hymn texts, and 42 scripture songs, as well as "Prophet, Priest, and King", the theme song of the 1999 Annual Meeting of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (he served as worship-leader at the 2005 Annual Meeting). He also conducted the premiere performances of Romans, I Will Remember, and My Song Is Love Unknown by Karen Green and orchestral performances of Handel's Messiah, among other choral and orchestral works.

Pastor Weibley continues to teach classroom music part-time at the Imago School (a classical Christian school for grades K-8) in Maynard and has been musical director/conductor/ arranger/orchestrator for their musical theatre productions as well as director of their annual Lessons and Carols program. He also serves on the board of First Concern Pregnancy Resource Center in Clinton, Massachusetts.

Steve and his wife of twenty-three years, Deborah, are the parents of Joshua Caleb, an art major at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Arts and Sciences in New York City.
