I was quickened and captured by God's grace as a teenager and continue to slowly learn what it means to have been "captured" and live under the magnificent "tyranny of the Word."
Formal and informal learning took place in the following times and at the following places:
- Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, 1968-71
- Assistant to Herbert S. Mekeel at First Presbyterian Church in Schenectady, N.Y., 1971-73
- Pastor of Malta Presbyterian Church in Ballston Spa, N.Y. by special permission of Presbytery for one year, 1973-74
- Pastor here since 1975 I thank God for my bride Bonnie of 35+ years and the children and children in law and grandchild (2nd on the way) given to us.
My prayer and desire is that by His grace words describing Ezra of old with some modification might fit me too . . . for he devoted himself to the study and obedience of the Gospel and to teaching it.
Particular interests include experience-based learning, short term teaching assignments and missions trips to strengthen and encourage indigenous church leaders and missionaries and the desire to learn to engage culture and think Christianly about issues of our day.
